Jeffrey Slack

Jeff focuses his practice on real estate and business transactions, land use, and state compliance issues serving the firm’s cannabis and commercial clients. Jeff has assisted clients in company formation, contracts, land use, and regulatory compliance, and enjoys working with entrepreneurs looking to develop their businesses. Jeff has been practicing cannabis compliance since its inception and has worked with over 200 clients ranging from startups to established businesses.

Before joining Janssen Malloy in the fall of 2013, Jeff interned at the Small Business Administration office in Seattle, Washington where he helped draft operating procedures for the SBA’s various small business lending programs.

Jeff attended the University of Idaho College of Law where he graduated cum laude. A finalist in Idaho’s First Year Writing Competition, Jeff was named a teaching assistant in the legal research and writing program helping first year students master the fundamentals of legal writing. During his time in law school, he competed on Idaho’s National Moot Court Competition Team, was a member of the Business Law Society, and received honors for his pro bono service on campus.

A Humboldt County native, Jeff enjoys skiing, swinging flies for hungry steelhead, and just about anything outdoors. He can often be found rafting and fishing on the Trinity River.
